Thankful

 BM called and asked if we would keep SD longer. She told us that with the cops being called that her and her bf was going to movie out to BM's grandmother in a travel trailer. BM told df that her environment wasn't what SD needed and that she realized that being with us (yes OMG BM said US...DF AND ME) was SD best place. That SD's attitude was better. BM also told DF that she was thankful that I was there to help SD become a lady and teach her the right way. SD 11 finally learned how to shave her legs.Which was a great point in our relationship SD realized she could trust me and was very thankful that I convinced df (cause bm was already on board) that it was time. She cried telling me now she didn't have to go around being embarassed. Thankful to have some way to get SD stable a little!

I wish you the best. Sounds like you and her are already bonded. Hope BM can get back on her feet and sticks around for SD.

I pray the BM in my sitch, would willing give up SS to us, we too would be the better home for SS.

Well, that's definitely something to be thankful for. I wish bm in my case would realize Im not as bad as she thinks I am so we can all do what's right for my sks. She's supposed to be on meds and keeps taking herself off, and then is hard to handle. I'm not saying give up custody, but just relax so we can all work things out for the kids
