My SD5 like to scare people at every opportunity. Whether its just walking into a room and her hiding behind the door or if its her hiding under the table and just waiting for someone to walk by to jump out and scream "BOO!" It's at any opportunity, we counted there were 15 in a 30 minute span between dinner and then bath time.

What would your opinion be that this is?

Just normal 5 year old behavior? An attention thing? or just to be plain annoying?

Gah! My sister did that. Talk about walking around paranoid. I guess ignore it or explain that she needs to stop.

Try giving her attention for something else. I mean a 5 year old cant really be all that good at scaring you can she?

Its like trying to avoid stepping on a crack in the sidewalk.. ITS EVERYWHERE. She's horrible at the scaring, she sometimes is in plain view.

It seems to us that its for attention, b/c at our house we don't baby her like at all her other houses. So she tries to get attention in another way.

All her other houses? How many does she have? She clearly needs something from you guys that she isn't getting.

Well lets see. She has ours. She has her mothers (who has a boyfriend and a rotation of roommates in and out), then she has her grandmothers (mom's side)house, and then her grandfathers (mom's side) house.

Her schedule is like this:

Mon - She's at BM's
Tues - She's @ Grandmothers
Wed/Thurs - She's with us
Friday - She's @ BM's
EOWE - She'll be with us, or with one of her mothers parents.

Before, everytime the BM picked up the LO from us after school when we'd get her or something like that, she'd ask BM, "where am I going tonight". It's sad.
