long story short, he was "tricked" into signing an acknowledgement of paternity on a child that wasn't his (i know i thought "can't you read before signing, instead of trusting").
so NOW he's paying child support on a kid that isn't his. bm has "tried" to get him removed from the child support order (uh huh sure) but can't cause his name is on the birth certificate. well, i told him that HE needs to start by applyin to get his name removed from the birth certificate or take her to court for tax rights (he doesn't claim this kid or his own though he's paying cs) and possibly visitation (if he's going to be her legal dad might as well BE her legal dad right?) well, i understand his thoughts on that "no because i want it all fixed-i don't want paternal responsibility, therefore, i don't want to get visitation with her then step out again-not right to her" ok i get that but then FIGHT THE DAMN CASE!
i told him to go after tax rights cause apparently there's years bm isn't required/qualified to file taxes, thus can't claim kid, and lets a distant relative claim (but not bf) well, i can't convince him (yet) to go after tax rights, because his son doesn't "live" with him-but if ordered, she'd HAVE to let him claim
