There's a mom on here who's in need of severe help like NOW! She's in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. She doesn't have friends/family local and is unable to drive. Trapped in a bad marriage with 2 babies. Looking for help. She's contacted churches-with promises of callbacks but no calls.

She needs help being relocated with her babies-but there's little help around-she's trying to leave her husband due to his questionable behavior regarding the children.

(For Ex-he talks to his DD12 about his DD1's genitals and allows a creepy neighbor around the kids-the dude is OVERLY affectionate)

He's reserves/military on base-is there an emergency shelter or soe place I can call to get her some help?!

AND FYI I WILL NOT REVEAL HER NAME HOWEVER I"M SURE SOME OF YOU CAN GUESS WHO IT IS.

Contact Catholic Charities in her area. They may be able to assist with a shelter. I know she doesn't want a shelter; but it is less dormitory and more group home type of atmosphere. They have counselors present 24/7 and help her.

she doesn't care if it's a shelter or not her problem is-No transportation TO the place.

The organization that assisted me would either pay for the cab servixe or on occasion would send a volunteer to pick up the woman.

1 mom liked this
i dont know if crossroads is beyond my area or not.... But they do pickups, will call the police to get an escourt to get kids and items out.

most WILL NOT talk to a third person party about anything, for saftey concerns of the person in shelter.

id google shelters and call. They may require said mom to report possible child abuse. The investigator can help cover exspenses of dr visits, travel, etc to get kids to saftey.

If its the same person, then I have given her this info before...I know it is hard to leave but she has to make up her mind and just do it. No excuses. Shelter is better than staying where she is. Also if she really feels there is abuse or potential abuse she should call cps and get it investigated so she can get a protective order in place. Honestly she says she wants to go but then doesn't so I am not sure there is much we can do for her...just be careful yourself in how tired up you get. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink...she may just want attention...just saying. I gave her specific places in her area to call and she is telling you she called churches and no one called her back...I am calling bullshit here
