UPDATE:
Now, I want all of you who have replied, to go tell your stepkids what you just told us! then let s know what happens :)
sd11 is an amazing artist!!! Some of the stuff that she draws up is just beautiful :)
Only she can get DD8 to eat her green veggies with NO attitude/screaming/yelling/threatening
only she can get DD to do alot of stuff without a fight.....
only she can walk on my back and she does this thing with her toes on my lower spine that relieves allll the pressure/pain
SS5-he is just too cute for his own good :) he's a ppl pleaser.....he's always offering to help with whatever-no matter what it is im doing-from taking the trash out-to scrubbing the toilet HE WANTS TO HELP! He's a fast learner and a great conversationalist :0)
DD8-DH said she's a great snuggler :)
Dss #2 (19) is in college for Forestry Mgt and is working in WI at a camp this summer - he is quiet and thoughtful and sweet
Dss#3 (6) is a sweet, sensative boy with mild autism, he can figure out any video game, reads on his own and is a pretty good basketball player
Ds (6) (couldn't leave him out) is 6 going on 16 - he loves the cooking channel, loves math, and climbs anything he can
Dss#4 (4) is built like a tank, lol - he loves to wrestle his brothers, plays with the dog when no one else wants to, and runs to hug me everytime he wins at something
s/o's daughter (15) is an awesome kid! gets straight A's and sets her goals high and achieves them. she is a great influence on my daughter (8) and tries to talk to my daughter about making good choices so she doesnt get in trouble. she is very protective of my daughter and willingly includes her and plays with her. she loves to have fun and does so whatever we are doing.
she also lets me know how much she cares about me and my opinions.
My step-son is super smart and sweet. He is an honor's student in middle school and is joining the Junior National Honor Society when school starts up again. He is really thoughtful and cares about other peoples feelings. His mom has an 18 month old little boy and she is also 8 months pregnant. I am amazed everytime I see him interact with his little brother. He is so mature and takes such good care of his little brother to help his mother out. I am just so proud of him and happy to be part of his life. I have an amazing relationship with him and love him like he is my own. I can't imagine my life without him.
I am sorry you don't get to have any contact with her :(
Quoting momma4vr:well im going through a divorce and i dont get to have any contact with sd.... but when i just had dd she was 3 weeks old when sd got to see her (i had a c section) and dd needed a bottle so i laid her on my bed in the middle... and sd was sitting there.. i said her A i need to make a bottle just sit here and rub L belly softly and tell her you love her... i got up to make a bottle and still heard L cry... well i was heating up the bottle and all of a sudden silence! i was scared (not that A would ever hurt her lil sister on purpose...but still) and i ran into the room to find her holding her on the bed cross legged and going shhhhh its ok shhhh..... and she was supporting her neck as well! i was floored! i went to finish the bottle and we cuddled while watching a movie
Wow, love those arty's and swimmers!
Quoting sandeeyo:My SDs are good kids. SD 2 is a good swimmer (she won several events in her age class just this past weekend) and SD 1 is the artist in the family. They can be a pain sometimes, but they are compassionate, loving, and easy going (most of the time) kids!
