NCP, CS and school supplies etc.

 do you think school supplies and clothes, shoes etc for school are covered by child support or are they considered additional and NCP should cover half in addition to CS?

does the NCP in your situation buy school supplies, clothes etc? give you additional money?

I am CP and I buy all of those things. Dad doesn't do anything outside of CS.

 i dont think CS covers back to school stuff. it is for the day-to-day stuff (food, electricity - i dont know about yall but my daughter usues way more electricity than i do! i constantly go around the house, room to room turning off things she left on!)

my ex feels the same way. without asking he offers extra money for supplies and we go in together for tennis shoes. we dont do new clothes since she has 2 closets full and doesnt need any.

We don't even get CS from BM. School stuff...lmfao

However, I would think that if a parent wants to be a parent then they would be happy to help school with supplies and clothes, etc.

Same with me. I tried working with BF in years past. Just not worth the battle.

DH and BM both buy stuff. It is odd, but it seems to be the one area they don't have conflict.

We pay absolutely everything. Fiancé pays child support. Bm keeps all the clothes we buy ss and sends him home in rags that are too small. She expects us to pay for preschool, all extracurriculars.... Basically all she pays for is whatever is used while ss is at her house. Shes cp, but he's not even with her 50%.... But that's also why we're taking her back to court ;)

SSs have a full wardrobe here so DH just buys them what they need when they need it.

DDs pack a bag everytime they go to BFs. I buy most everything. He occassionaly buys clothes when they are with him. Like a treat. And then they bring it back here. It works for us.

Ds's bd pays NOTHING! Dd's bd pays cs & ins thats it. Dd15 and hes bought supplys once since shes been in school.

School expenses are to be split 50/50 but DH, the NCP, has to pay it all, BM is always crying poor.
