my ds14 sometimes teases the skids when they first get there, if i am doing something for them. i watched and realized this. usually the routine is they get there, ss9 runs in with "guess what!" with a story to follow and ss4 announces "im hungry! im thirsty!" i have found the best routine is to listen to ss9's story, give him a few sentences of feedback and feed ss4 a small snack while i do so. then everyone is happy and goes about their merry way.
i think my son is jealous. so instead of reprimanding him to leave the skids alone cuz they are minding their own business, i just looked at him and said "you know, YOu are still my baby."
grumble grumble "ugh mom" leaves room. haha but no more teasing the skids!!
