what would you do???

my SS (12 years old ) lives with us he swears up and down he is a jehovah wittness....which is fine i respect all religions. but what do i do about christmas??? he swears hes a witness and wouldnt help decorate the tree wont have anything to do with christmas but asked for a xbox. do i not get him a gift??? i kinda feel like i should cause its christmas but kinda feel like i shouldnt because if he chooses to be or do something i think its important for them to learn to stick to there descions....there is no sticking to it based on conveniance. what would you do ??

Jehovah's witnesses don't celebrate Christmas.  It's kinda hypocritical to say your a JW and then expect a present for the holiday.

A for real Witness doesn't accept Christmas gifts. He can't pick and choose. I would not get him a gift.

You might want to mention to him that they don't celebrate birthdays, thanksgiving, easter, or any other holidays.  He may change his tune! LOL

I agree with Sandeeyo & Glock.
I wouldn't get him a Christmas gift either if he insists he's a Jehovah's Witness, he can't have it both ways.
If you're uncertain or feeling bad, lookup their beliefs & practices.

My husbands sisters are witnesses.. we just give them random presents throughout the year

We don't wrap them though or really call them "presents" we just give them to them

If he's a witness he gets no gift bc witnesses do not celebrate holidays.

Don't they forbid caffeine or something, too? No pop? Or is that Mormons? Or am I imagining that? lol

Mormans forbid Tanin which is in coffee and tea. They allow soda. However jw are againt anything that could alter your body in any way.
