Seriously the child has had almost every **first** under our watch:  first tooth fell out, first earrings (with BB permission of course), first pedicure, first real friend sleepover, gave up training wheels....the list is endless!  And now this, I'm certain that at some point, down the road I will be to blame!  LOL

SD was very calm and cool about the whole thing, we had a refresher about supplies, what to expect etc and she was good-to-go!   We saw BB later in the morning at a sporting event and I was shocked that SD didn't pull her aside and tell her.

My SDs are terrified they'll have their first one at BM's.

It sounds like your SD had a great experience with it though, glad she was comfortable enough with you to make it a tad easier on her.

You haven't been blamed yet?  Pfft.  I'd say BB was a misnomer.

SD begged DH and I not to tell BM when she started.  She wanted to talk to her mom herself.  It wasn't any of my business, and DH was content to let SD have that talk.  When she did tell BM, BM immediately accused me of telling SD not to talk to her.  SD denied that, of course, and thought she'd convinced her mom that it was her choice to talk about it when she was ready.  Seconds after SD got off the phone, my texts started blowing up.  I seriously feel sometimes that I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't.  Oh, well.  Glad it worked out better for you!!
