I need advice ,support, ideas.....I am getting ready for a romantic evening with my DH and bm calls to say she's going to my SS school event tomorrow.
Now granted, there's nothing wrong with that....I will say I do NOT look forward to seeing her there and yes she has every right to be there...its just so uncomfortable and I get so stressed.
It's hard NOW to enjoy the rest of my "romantic" night with my DH!! Does this ever get easier?
I have this " feeling " of blame towards him now, because he was once with her. Sometimes its almost a feeling of "BETRAYAL"!!
HOW DO I STOP THOSE FEELINGS THAT MAKE MY HEART ACHE??

Don't think about it. It is as simple and difficult as that!
Tomorrow is tomorrow. Don't worry about it tonight. Furthermore, you don't have to go to the school event.
As far as the betrayal, that is definitely mind over matter. He didn't betray you. Stop thinking like that, and soon the heartache will go away.
Calm down! Relax! Enjoy your night! Be happy that your DH is with you today... Some of us aren't that lucky.

Oh and you should get over your feelings about your dh being with her at one time. Everyone has a past and you can't resent him because of it. It is resentment and it will boil over and explode one day. You have to learn to let it go or find a man that has no past or baggage. I got one and life is bliss!!

Oh, and it's not like BM came over to your house, flopped her cooch on the front porch and told your DH, "How 'bout it?" She just said that she's going to be at HER SD's school function.

Don't let her take space in your head. How long have you been together? I know I attended school functions of my skids. But when BM was being herself, I'd not go sometimes. Breathe...it will pass.

Yes...I think the first year of my marraige I got the romantic....or rather hectic valentines dinner out.
