We really don't have one. All the combined bills come from my acct and the mortgage and personal bills of the mister get paid by him. We combine for groceries.
Then whatever is left we can spend and/or save.

I am super OCD about budgeting. Dh calls me the miser lol. It works for us. We have to keep spending fairly tight during the winter mths bc dhs work can get sporadic. I plan ahead to have money for bdays Christmas ecs extras saved through the times we know can get lean.

Kind if.... dh's check pays big bills mine pays small bills and household needs

and my tips (waitress not stripper :D ) goes to gas and savings.

And dh pays his cs from his checks

Okay not really, just feeling bitter about money because my husband was being a jack ass yesterday.

I pay for everything except the car payment and insurance - he pays that.

I don't budget cs, it comes right out of his checks. I don't budget for child care for my son either, because I have the direct deposited directly into my babysitters checking account.

I get paid twice a month and use that to pay rent. Dh's check and any extra money, like tax returns, my student loans and financial aid, go into a joint account. I pay the bills out of that, buy groceries and whatever we need. I tell him what we need to save and discuss spending with him. He doesn't care to deal with money. If he needs/wants something he will ask if it is in "my budget", as he calls it. I I make sure the bills are paid, food is in the pantry and the kids have what they need.
