So I was reading a little blurb in Redbook about asking an OB/GYN some questions. This lady recommended a natural fix of sticking a teaspoon of plain yogurt with active cultures up your...lady bits...to cure a yeast infection or BV.

Wwwwwhhhhaaaaaa......??

Have any of you ladies heard of or have tried this???

I've heard of it, never tried it.  I thought it was only for yeast infections (which I've never had) and didn't know it was for BV too.  Strange, for sure.

I've heard of it. It's not something I'd try.

I've heard of eating the yogurt, especially while taking antibiotics, to help with yeast infection but not ... Shoving it up your parts!!! Didn't know about the BV..

Wow, learn something new everyday!! Very weird but new..

Im thinking I'll stick with the tried and true calling for a script ..

I have heard of it and heard really good results but I cannot muster up the courage to it. I usually end up in the hospital with severe uti's due to a high pain tolerance though so. Rarely a yeast infection.

Yep ive heard of it, it has to be like teh greek stuff though with live cultures.

My cousin did it once when she didnt have health insurance, she said it cleared it up in a day or two.

Hmm...well I remember my mom telling me she was eating yogurt to help treat them. And cranberry juice. She got a lot of yeast infections when I was growing up- I always knew when she had them BC she had a yogurt and cranberry juice morning, noon, and night. Never heard of yogurt-vag-merge. I've never had either, so obviously have never tried.
