Two sets of school paperwork or one?

Do your kids bring home two sets of paperwork from school (fundraisers, notes from teachers, newsletters, etc) so that there is a set for each household?

For elementary they do. Even report cards.

But SD is starting jr high so that probably won't happen anymore with her. SS is still in elementary.

No. I've never heard of that.

No, just one.  If the fundraiser goes on through BM's time with SS, we send it with him to see if she wants to try and sell anything.  All other paperwork (including schoolwork) goes into a huge binder that gets sent to her house on SS's weekends with her.  That way she can look through it and see what's happening and see what he's working on in class.

Report cards, we make a copy of and send one to her to keep.

no. if bm wants to, she could call the school and request to have those papers mailed to her. otherwise, we just keep her updated on the things that she needs to know about.

No...we are lucky to get one sent home. They rely a lot on the students to pass along messages...it is a mess.

I will say though that we are pretty good about sharing any pertinent info with BM and visa versa or the kids do.  But our kids are older.
