I walked into 3 young kids and a big mess. People thought I was crazy, but it worked.  I wasn't so young though and I tried not to make the needless mistakes.

It should be fine as long as he is a good father. If he's been taking care of his own kids for a while without your help, then you shouldn't have any problems. If on the other hand he has a history of relying on other people to take care of his kids, then you should anticipate that you will be the new nanny.
