Hello, this is so cool I was just browsing other groups and found this one on ferrets! I am a ferret crazy person! I currently have 4 but will be adding more soon. I have volunteered at a ferret shelter for many years. I had to stop after my daughter was born as I didn't have the time to go. I miss it so much! I still show my ferrets, and all are blue ribbon winners. I have Pumpkin my oldest, she is a sable, Garcia, my only boy, is a chamelion, he changes color so much! Pearl is my DEW, she used to be a dark cinnamon!! ANd Hailey is my silver. They have their own room in my house so they can run around and play. I have been through a few bouts of insulnoma and adrainal (what ferret mom hasn't), but they are all doing well now thanks to Melatonin supplements. Does anyone else show their ferrets? What is the name of your shelter. Is it a big shelter? The one I went to had about 150 ferrets. I live in PA. Well, hope to talk more.
