Hi You Guys,I'm asking for help with this too...if any of you have any old towels sheets, blankets you'd be willing to send to this shelter, please just send them directly to the shelter. The shelter is also asking for leather gloves and bandaids since most of these ferrets have never been handled and bite because they are scared. The enclosed video is very hard to watch, just a warning.Hugs and hugs to every little ferret.Janean

Subject: [Ferret_Rescue] Mckay --Ferret Rescue--- EMERGENCY
To the point-- asking for clean used towels etc... read below
My Friends-- no matter where on this planet you are--
please give me a few minutes and read -- it's important..

9/16/07 The Mckay rescue has finally happened-- nearly
a year of legal battles and Doug Mckay and family have
signed over the ferrets into the care of one shelter in Ohio.
here are the pictures of the conditions they have been
rescued from.

This shelter (listed below) is now facing the care and
placement of over 700 ferrets-- NO.. that isn't a typo..
scary thought..
they say the Pres of Totally Ferret is donating food. Ferret
depot will give a 20% discount on items shipped to Lori's
(or, on gift certificates she already gets 20% on her
purchases). Shipping is being covered though not, if
I remember right, by www.ferretdepot.com A couple other
funds are doing that, I think, the IFC ELF fund and www.ferretemergency.org.
Lori has a paypal account under rr3634@dragonbbs. com
so people who want to use paypal can send money there.
Also, "disposable bedding", Sounds like used (but not
super ratty with dangerous threads) towels, blankets, and t
he like. I think we all have that!

I will have donation boxes set out on my front porch all
weekend (good timing ---my yard sale is this weekend)-
Please stop by and "throw in a towel" or 10..
feel free to send off your own package if possible and

to go the right thing..

I live in Pa and help out at a shelter, and I am so glad someone has been able to help some of those ferrets. What a bastard. Where did he sell the ferrets too? It said he said it was a way of making a living. I can't imagine any of those ferrets were healthy enough to sell. I will forward this message to other ferret shelters and ferret lovers. I currently am maxed out, but I hope someone can help-
