credit cardConsolidate and pay off debt as soon as possible: If you carry any debt, focus on consolidating it to a lower interest and paying it off as soon as possible. Money paid in interest is money thrown away! Why spend your hard-earned cash to make the financial institutions rich?

I'm sure those that have this kind of debt tries to do it as soon as possible.

Any other thoughts?

Also, a lot of those consolidation places don't look much better on your credit report than a bankruptcy.

I am slowly getting my credit paid off. It maybe best to get it into one big payment for some but for me the "snowball" effect is working for me at this time.
