We all talk about how us adults have a Family Piggy Bank, but do your children? Its one thing for us to save in a bank account for them but I wonder who is teaching them to actually save right at home? No matter the age we can teach kids to save right at home in a piggy bank form the earliest of age. So do your children have one? And do they rob the bank often or learn patience in savings? The skills they learn by having a personal piggy bank will follow them the rest of their life.

She has 3. I let them get about 1/2 full and roll the coins to be deposited in her bank account.  She is 1 next Monday, so she has no idea what kind of money she has.

My 9 year old got a bank that counts your money as you deposit it in. He loves it. Within one year he has collected over $100. Very exciting to watch it accumulate. He is definitely going to be a saver!

That is great,, do they love to drop coins in it? Mine use to love the sounds of the coins fall. Then want to take them out and do it again.

Yes, each one has one. We put change in it once or twice a week and my parents like to stick stuff in there. We wait for a year, then empty it and put it in their accounts.
