Financial Housekeeping Challenge Day 8: Go Paperless
It's day 8 of the Financial
Housekeeping Challenge!
Today's task is to go paperless and pay your bills online!
Most utilities and creditors give you the option to stop paper billing altogether and make payments online. You'll receive your bills through email, and you can even set up automatic payments. This method saves trees, keeps clutter in your home at bay, enables you to easily track payments online, saves you money in stamps -- and just makes your life neater and easier! :)
Do you pay bills online? What are your favorite things about it?
If you missed yesterday's activity, you can find it here. You can sign up for the Financial Housekeeping Challenge here.
I love having bills automatically deducted from my checking account. i have had my phone bill, house payment, electric bill, etc all withdrawn automatically with just an email statement to verify the amount. it is great, as soon as I get paid, i just deduct the amount from my register and check it off my list of bills in the back of my checkbook. everything gets paid and saves time and money :)
Some of my bills I can't pay online, but the majority I do. I like paying online because of not having to write a check, buy envelopes, or stamps. I can also see when it was processed. Some of my bills also save me some money for paying online.
