Please ladies I need some ideas. Usually when my parents take the kids we would go out shopping and go for a meal but we need to keep our money because I'm a bridesmaid at my cousins wedding and that will be expenssive. My parents offered to take the kids for the day and I'm out of ideas. I don't really want to stay home and do nothing. We need something to relax together. Any ideas? Please share all the ideas you have. Thanks a bunch!

My hubby and I like to take bubble bags together, with wine is even better and don't be fooled tr more expensive is not always the better. We really like yellow tails red, like Shiraz. You listen to music talk whatev. Then dinner of take out or make breakfast wr always make that together. It's also indulgent with thinks like French toast and bacon. It's also so cheap to rent a movie from redbox or even a downloadable thing like amazon.com. Pick up some cheap snacks some milk duds and/or popcorn. And def flirt and kiss and touch and hOld each other. Even take a ride to look at city lights instead of movie, that was my first date with dh. It doesn't matter what you do, as long as its what you guys enjoy. My hubby works nights too so I understand. But having a quickie then then breakfast and a nice trail walk is always a good time; )

Hope this helped.

One way to really feel like you can get away is to get a hammock.  My H and I lay on it under the stars when our Preschool son goes to bed.  We leave the windows open so we can hear him if he wakes up.  It takes away some of that stir crazy feeling.

Another idea is to go to the lobby of a really nice hotel.  When I used to live in Chicago you could walk into any hotel and they didn't know if you stayed there or not.  We'd have long dates on comfy chairs with candlelight... great price for college students w/no cash.

My fiance and I usually spend datenight at home because of finances, so we like to watch a movie we couldn't watch around DD and make a new meal or something. It can be nice exploring home with your partner, you just have to be open to the ideas. If you have trees or a fence in your yard you can put up a line and hang a sheet over it tent style and YOU GUYS can be the kids that day! Juice and cookies, yaaay! Or you could get a copy of the Kamasutra and see if there's anyting in it you never knew you needed. That would be a pretty fun day at home!

When my LO is gone, and we want to do something but don't have a lot of money, we will go walk around the mall, window shop, and this gives us time to enjoy each others company, talk and dream a little about the things in the future that we may want.  Hope you guys havea great date night!!

Check out Groupon.com, yollar.com and amazonlocal.com They are websites that have local offers to purchase. This week, for my area, yollar has 2 movie tickets, dinner for 2, and flowers for $37.00. Hope you can find something!!!!

I live in Southern California so we have tons of beaches, piers, museums, etc.... That is really cheap or plain free. Santa Monica pier has street performers ( singing/dancing) every weekend. One of my best dates though was my hubby got a DVD I wanted to see, packed me a dinner in a basket in the car and we parked at the beach, walked around and went back to the dinner in his car and watched the movie on a portable DVD player. We got out, we only payed for a dinner and parking. The whole date was $20.00 and was loads of fun!

A picnic at a peaceful little park complete with a bottle of wine. Go for a long relaxing walk. Then rent some movies, and head on home for some private time.

This isn't free but really cheap I am always scouring sites like groupon because you could maybe get a buy one get one meal and eat at fast food prices for sit down food. Sure you look like a Scrooge with coupons but hey the food still tastes the same lol

I'm personally not a fan of eating outdoors so the whole "pic-nic" themed dates are not my thing. I have had good dates at laundrymat arcades so there are things hidden in the cracks that are fun and don't cost much.

We like doing picnics then we go for a walk or play frisbee golf-which is free cuz we have our own frisbees. Or we hit the basketball court.
