when you travel, do you use sites like these to get better deals? if you do, which ones?

I've used Expedia.

do not use travelocity they suck! They screwed us over and then refused to fix it. we had to threaten a law suit to get our money back.

We never plan trips.We usually wing it and do it ourselves.

No we don't. We just book directly with the hotel or airline.

 We don't travel but if we did I'd look into something like that to see if it would save us money.

We haven't gone any where yet that we would need a site like those so not sure if i would use it.

 I use them as a starting point...I will check each site to see what kind of deals and reviews they have and then try the actual hotel website! I think that the only one I have actually booked anything through was hotels.com!

 i use orbitz.com and find a hotel and then call the hotel directly. sometimes they give you a better price i have found from my experience.

For flights, I use Southwest.
