Thursday Thrifty Throwdown: Indulge Yourself Challenge #9
Sniff. It's our last Indulge Yourself Challenge, folks...yes, we'll be kicking of something fabulous next Thursday, but let's not think about it. Let's end this challenge with some awesome ways to treat the whole family. Little indulgences that can bring a smile, spread some joy. Have some fun together with these little treats -- a perfect finale to our weeks of indulgence ideas!
Play a new game - Treat the little ones to a brand new game...and yourself one that won't totally bore you. Story Cubes are awesome and get everyone's imaginations grooving. Or check out Charades in a Box. Even little ones can play it and this way, if they have trouble coming up with an idea, it is right there for you...and it is easily portable. Ideal for when you are heading to Grandma's later this summer.
Build the largest fort ever! - Grab all of the blankets in the house and head down to the basement. Construct the largest indoor fort you've ever made. Couch cushions, pillows, the whole shebang. One hint: use hair ties or large paper/binder clips (watch little fingers!) to hold various elements together. After it's up, have a picnic indoors.
Start a family hobby - Whether everyone learns how to speak French, you all read the Harry Potter series together, you try your hand at creating 1000 origami cranes or whatever, indulge your whole family with a new fun thing.
What is your newest family "tradition"?
