Looking for a high interest plan.

Why is it if you don't have money you can't get higher interest rates? It's frustrating trying to make something out of 3 to 4%.

Do you know of any good savings plans, fund whatever that helps you earn more money?

We have something through DH's job that comes right out of his check IDK what it i called I will re post later with the name.

The banks use your deposits to fund loans, so they're willing to pay more for higher deposits because then they can loan more, thus earning more on the high interest they charge.

Mutual funds used to be the way to go, not so sure anymore.

I know ING usually pays a higher interest rate since its an online bank.
