What kind of cheap summer fun do you have in your area?
We live near the beach, so that's our primary entertainment.
We also have theme park annual passes so that makes visits affordable.
What's it like where you live? What do you do for cheap summer fun?

In our very small town, we have numerous beaches. We also have a huge 4th of July celebration that goes on for almost a week and most events are free to attend. In August, we have a car show that has free admission. Otherwise, the big attraction is swimming, followed by biking on Rails to Trails, camping, or enjoying ourselves at my uncle's swimming hole, complete with modernized log home, picnic area with gas grill, and rafts, canoes, a paddleboat, and a zip line over the water.
we go to the pool the last hour of the day that it is open because you can get in free and the kids have just enough time to get cooled off. when we want to go the whole day i buy a pass for 10 visits and it ends up costing me like a little over 2 dollars a visit instead of the 5 dollars a visit. if you live in the same county you can get a pass. i get one for 25 dollars and have visits left over for another day. we also picnic at the park and they have free concerts on thursday nights at the park. we pack a picnic lunch. we go to the library also and get involved in their reading program and activities.
We have our annual Classic Car show, we have a water park that is free not a typical water park with slides & stuff but the kids like it, we have a large Hike & Bike trail that runs through most pf our city, there is a Huge water park with a slide about 45 miles away, We have classic car museum, We have Trails & Rails Museum it's all about the railroad & History, We have the Archway Monument, They have an Indian Pow Wow here every summer, We have Heritage Days free concerts in the park, there is an Art Museum here lots of these are free or minimal donations.
