With the way things are financially I'm just curious who has a nest egg saved up?

My husband has a employer match plan. Good thing because it's too easy to proscrastinate.

We have thrift savings plan with the military and we have a savings.
Bit this has been in the making for a about 2 years.
We paid off all our debt including our car.
We saved this years tax return ad I got a job that completely supports me and 2 kids while DH is deployed, I bought a "new" car which we put half down on and will make double payments on until next tax return where I will pay what ever is left.
When DH returns home he will be out of the army and we don't plan on touching what we have saved just living below our means.
