I feel your pain Tabitha - needing better income but not wanting to sacrifice family time. Are there any other job opportunities in town because it doesn't seem like waitressing is any good. If there is a retail store (grocery or otherwise) they may be able to offer minimum wage and an employee discount. Offering babysitting from home is also an excellent idea since you wouldn't have to go anywhere but you would have to make sure you have high standards for keeping your home clean and safe. Be careful of work from home opportunities - too many of them end up costing you. I recently found a free one with good training and would be happy to talk to you about it or give you some tips on what to look out for.

You should go to college, mean time try to find a better job, even if it's McDonald.

If you was on public assistance, some states have, car to work programs. They help you get a car.

Apply for government assistance housing, gotta set pride aside, if you need the help ask for it.

Apply for Wic

The state can help pay for childcare too. This is all help you can use, temporarily, ask a way to get to a better, place in life.
