Do you share the driving responsibility with anyone else? If possible, drive with another set of parents to a school event. If you take turns, you'll save money on gas. You can even ‘car pool' with your own family. Pick up your spouse or older kids instead of meeting somewhere.

I don't carpool to school because we can walk there.

We don't we just moved and don't know anyone yet.

 we have a truck that seats eight so we usually take that instead of one of the cars.

Even if they didn't take the bus, the school that my boys go to the parents there are so uppity. They look at me like trash because I don't drive a bmw or mercedes. It's really frustrating.

No, car pooling really. My dd rides into town with one of the neighbors since I have to be to work 2 hours before school starts.

Just moved here so we don't know anyone else to car pool with. So for now I am driving him and eventually he will take the bus.
