Back to School Countdown Day 14: Budget for Hidden Costs

Posted by   + Show Post

Sometimes we forget about things you spend money for everyday activities. Do you consider how much you spend by buying food at a sporting event or grabbing a coffee on your way somewhere? Think about when you might spend a little extra money and set up a plan to save for those things.

What do you spend the most money on during a weekly basis?

Don't drink coffee or soda, myself.  Right now the current price for gas [ around $4 gal ] is more of a concern than the price of food. Canning and freezing fresh garden grown fruit and produce helps some.

Zero money on a weekly basis. On a monthly basis I tried to budget for outfits for school outings, extra money for field trips (includes lunch and snacks), and depending on the trip addtional purchases. Haven't really worked out an iron clad budget to stick with.
