Do you have a Christmas list yet?
Plan to achieve list completion?
Budget?
I will add mine in replies :)
3 items per kid: book, toy, outfit.
1 item per kid from Santa
We have 4 kids, so we are planning on getting for one kid per paycheck. We shop thrift stores for books and toys. I make their clothes. Santa gives store bought gifts.
The budget is $100 per kid.
I'll spend around $100 on ds. I've already bought 2 gifts.
I was just thinking about this lately.. we have 9 checks until payday, but with having a lot of bills and hardly any money after bills, gas, and food. Christmas is going to suck this year. At the end of September, we will be cancelling our cell phone service with AT&T and switching to Verizon, since it'll be cheaper.. so, we were told by the lady at Verizon that we can trade our iPhones in for cash (approx. $172 for each iPhone) then phones we want at Verizon are $199 so, we'll barely have to pay anything. So, new phones will probably be an early Christmas gift for my husband & I.. Other than that... I do not know if my husband or I will get anything else.
As far as our kids go, we have 3 (10 year old boy, 5 year old girl, and 1 year old girl).. We will probably get them each a DVD, the 2 other ones a new Wii game or two, each of them will get a book or two, and then 1 or 2 toys, also may get a few board games for them to share. I normally try to keep it right around $100 each child.. but my MAX is $200 per child. My 5 year old will have her 6th birthday on December 28th, so she will get another 1-3 gifts..
thanks for putting it like that. lol my hubby just started getting paid once a month. lol didn't look at it like that yet. I just started thinking about my christmas list. Wanted to get back to school and our moving expenses out of the way first.
