If you've made money selling home made products, how did you go about doing so? Do you sell online? If so what sites do you use? What do you sell and how is the market for your particular product?

Quoting michiganmom116:

I follow Michigan's cottage industry laws for food (cakes, baked goods) and I can't sell online.  We have to make at least one point of contact in person, too.  So, we'll take orders, make what they want, then deliver or let the customer pick it up.

I've sold crafted items on eBay, but I don't make them specially for sale.

Yes, each state has laws about selling food items, so that's why I never advertised, had a website or anything like that.  If I had an actual "business" then I would have to have a professional kitchen with doors, my children could never enter our kitchen, and like 100 other things I'd have to do or have to make it work, and it just wasn't worth it for a couple of cakes a month.
