That in 35 states the price of daycare has surpassed the price of college?
Not at all. Daycare for an infant where I lived 7 years ago was $1200/month. That's a semester of community college right there.
Nope, not at all. I used to pay $800 a month for ds's daycare. His daycare was almost as much as my college tuition at the time.
That is horrible :( I know not all daycares are like that but still you are trusting these people to take care of your children while you are at work - only to find out that they aren't doing their job, disgusting! My kids were in daycare for a small amount of time (about 6 months) and my daughter was having a bad reaction to the soap that they were using at her daycare so I gave them some soap that wouldn't irritate her skin and I signed all the necessary paper work so she could use her soap over the soap they provided and out of the 5 days a week my daughter was at daycare they would only have her use her soap a handful of times....if you can't keep on top of some dang soap then how am I going to trust that you are going to keep on top of her diet? (this was before we found out she was Celiac). It was ridiculous, needless to say I am glad we are done with that daycare and it will be a long time before I trust them to go back into daycare :/
Quoting surfgrl60:Our state is the worst for daycare abuse. I am in Idaho. There is always sexual and violent abuse, sometimes killing at our daycares. So I am fine with being a broke SAHM.
