How do you prep your home for winter?

We have mild winters, no real extras are needed usually.

We fill our basement with firewood for the furnace.
I am buying a new storm door this year to help keep snow & winds from coming in around the back door.
I will check insulation around windows and doors and spray the Great Stuff foam insulation where needed.
We shut crawl space vents.
I'll check weatherstripping around the entry doors and replace where needed.

The only thing we do is make sure the door in the kitchen has one of those draft stoppers or whatever since it gets a draft under the door and I have noticed that we sometimes get a puddle of water there as well. Other than that we don't do anything - we are used to winters we live in MN :)

We'll get firewood for the fireplace. Check for any drafts by the doors or windows.

We really don't do much other than clean the chimney. Our house stays pretty warm in the winter
