Tonight I used 1 gallon of water to shower with.

I wanted to have a quiet shower, so I filled up a gallon jug with hot water. I washed my hair and my body.

Considering you use about 12 gallons in a five minute shower, I think I'm going to do this on a regular basis.

oh man, my hair wouldn't get clean! it's long, extremely thick, and curly...I would go through a gallon just getting it all wet to wash

It's okay Larsbug, I know this wouldn't work for everyone.

1 mom liked this
If I'm in a rush or want to use less water, (I have a tub/shower) & I'll fill up two large bowls (afterwards I have to wash out the bowls again for the "kitchen use" again) but I'll fill the two bowls up (one very hot water & other warm water) & I use the warm one for washing up & the very hot one after time will become warm & than I'd use that one to rinse.
So in other words got quick 20minutes & want to use less water. My Opinon works.
