Salvation army?

For old stuff, IE: coffee pot, old furniture, cookware? Anything?

No most of our stuff comes from those places so by the time we are done with its ready for the dump.

SA is too far from me.  I donate money to them.  I take our unwanted usable items to the local thrift store that benefits a local charity; they're only 1 mile from me.

 My mom yard sales everything and we split the profit. Then whatever is left is donated to a local shelter that helps people get back on their feet.
