Rarely to Salvation Army, but generally to a group in town called H.E.L.P. which supports the poor through the Catholic Church.  Everything they receive that is of good quality is given, not sold, to those in need.

Salvation Army I give money to but we have several Good Will that are by us and a Thrift Store (that the money goes for Chldren's Charity ) that is where we donate things we do not need anymore to.

Usually Vietnam vets because they will come to the house and pick it up. I do this a lot. If I think it is something someone may be able to use, I use Freecycle.

No I donate to Good Will. I am not religious and don't donate to the Salvation Army for that reason
