I don't. The kids haven't been in daycare since the oldest one was not yet 2.

So far, haven't had to use it. Hopefully we won't need to for another couple of years.

My mom is my daycare except for 1 1/2 days a week when our youngest goes to preschool. She also runs the kids to their Dr's, etc for me. Basically I pay her $15/day 9 hours and then give her extra for gas etc to help out. She says it helps keep her stay young and refuses to take more. Don't know what I'd do if I had to pay what most charge.

I have a friend that gets $30 a day...81/2 hours, then it is $5 for every 1/2 hour after that. she had to start the extra charge because the Moms would do their grocery shopping and running quick to the mall before they picked up their kids. She has 8 kids, the state limit...she makes $1200 a week....and has a waiting list....

When my DD was in daycare we paid $125/week for full time care. Which was 5 days a week, up to 11 hours a day or whatever hours up to that we needed. And that was cheap! So $500 per month. Needless to say I didn't keep my crappy job very long.

don't use it... last time I called when DS1 was 2 to get him some socilaization it was $450 a week for 3 days 4 hours a day... Thank God my stepmom told us about my little brother's school (yes I have a 5 year old and 2 year old brother) and it's $155 a month, 2 days a week for 3 hours... daycare is ridiculous

Where are you located?  Are you in a metro area or a small town?

I understand the big age difference between you and your siblings.  There are 18 yrs between my oldest and youngest.  There's 16 yrs between me and my youngest step-sister.
