hmm, not sure. I will be watching this post to find out though :)
Hang clothes to dry
use energy saving light bulbs
rarely use our oven & stove, instead opting for a Foreman Grill, crock pots, electric skillets, microwave and grill.
Cook extra to freeze such as chilli
Buy on clearance
Try generic ( some things are good, some not so much)
Keep cabinets and freezer stocked so I only buy sales.
Buy fresh fruit & veggies that are in season.
I buy what's on sale, especially meat, then plan my meals around those. I also search for manufacturer coupons for those items I want to get that aren't on sale. We've started buying off brand for some things, as long as it works/tastes the same. I shop thrift stores, I also bought a toaster oven so that when I'm cooking only for myself I don't have to use the oven.
We garden, butcher our own meat which are the 2 biggies on food. My dh does almost all our car repairs, home maintence, etc. I do repairs on our clothes to keep them in good shape. The kids have 2 pairs of tennis shoes. One that they wear for old and their school shoes. They know to come home and change into the old ones if they want to go outside to play.
I also keep in touch with our insurance agent and try to keep the costs down on it. If the value of a vehicle goes way down I drop full coverage to liability only.
We recycle, use coupons, shop for sales, eat out only once or twice a month.
