Here is what some of our moms are saying:

Nomadbrat83 says: I had no idea how many varieties there were.  My husband was amazed at how easy they were to make and how thick the potatoes were.

MomToovey says: My husband’s words were that "these are pretty good for instant potatoes" but my opinion was less judgmental! Lol. I say, instant or not - these are darn good potatoes!

Raeann11 says: We had some over the weekend with our baby back ribs. We had roast garlic. Let me tell you, there was none left at all. My girls asked for seconds (which is rare).

Mycheyl says: My husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy and he thought these were great. He really liked the creamy butter, I loved the loaded casserole.

Psych_mom says: We had ham loaf, beef, and fresh fruits. We mixed together 2 boxes of the Au Gratin Potatoes and 1box of the Scalloped Potatoes in the crock pot for about 3-4 hours.

Sarahb21 says: There are so many flavors that you can always find something to go along with the meal you are making that evening!

We got the coupons yesterday and after DH got home I went out and did a short shopping trip including picking up the BC Potatoes. I chose 4 different varities including Four Cheese, and Loaded Potato.

We made the Four Cheese tonight with a frozen Chinese dinner that I also purchased tonight at the store.

My husband ate his in one bowl, the other meal was a Sesame Shrimp that was super sweet and tasty and complimented with the potatoes very very well.

The potatoes themselves were buttery, cheesy and easy to make. I was impressed with the short cooking time and happy to still have some left from this batch for lunch or dinner tomorrow and also that the box comes with two complete pouches so i still have another batch of Four Cheese to make later.

The variety of the potatoes is amazing and with the value of it -- it is priced at rock bottom prices especially for a name like Betty Crocker. The pouches which make one batch were 10/10 at the store and the box was only 1.89. It easily fed myself, my DH and our DD and we have enough left for another serving.

These are bound to be a staple in my home now.

We've only had a chance to try one so far and it was the bacon and cheese ones. We had planned to do some kind of chicken entree and have the potatos as a side but my husband ended up working late so he didnt have time to stop by the store, pick up chicken, come home and then cook it, so instead he picked up sandwiches from subway. I had the potatos already done so we just decided to eat the potatos instead of chips with our sandwiches.

I thought the potatos were great!! My husband loved them also! My 5, 7, and 9 yr old didnt like them. I couldnt get a good reason out of them though, lol. They said once that they were too soft and then one said they didnt like the cheese but theyre picky eaters to begin with so that doesnt really count, lol. My 2 yr old loved them also! He ate every bite!

Overall i think they were delish! Even though the older boys didnt like them I would definatly buy them again! Cant wait to try the other 3 flavors we got! Ill be sure to update when we do! Thanks Cafemom!

Last night we tried Betty Crocker Potatoes, Loaded Potato. Delicious! My husband was hesitant to try them at first, but loved them. Even my picky 3 year old daughter ate them. My 1 year old preferred the potatoes after I wiped everything off, lol!

We tried two different kinds. My boys are kind of picky so I made them the 4 cheese one while I made the loaded potato for everyone else. The boys LOVED theirs and wants more for tonight. We also enjoyed to other although I was surprised that it wasn't thin like the other instant potatoes. We will purchase this again.

I have never tried any of the Betty Crocker Potatoes before, I have tried store brand au gratin potatoes and found them to be not worth the effort for the bland taste.

I selected the Betty Crocker Roasted Garlic mashed potatoes since I've been in a comfort food mood lately.

I decided to serve this along with veggie "roast" I make from lentils and vegetables since we are vegetarians.

I like the fact that for a packaged side dish, these Betty Crocker potatoes are vegetarian with no hidden meat products that are so often found in other packaged sides.

The direactions really were quick and easy.  I follwed the steps using 2 cups hot water, mixed into the contents of the pouch in a 1.5 quart bowl.  Covered with plastic wrap and microwaved for 2 minutes.  Once heated, I whipped them with a fork.

I wanted to take a picture of the potatoes alone to show that the texture was smooth and creamy, unlike the pasty instant potatoes I grew up eating at home.

The flavor was surprisingly good.  I don't expect much from packaged sides and rarely use them.  The roasted garlic flavor was bold and there is a buttery tasted to them as well.  Usually I add butter to my potatoes but for me these did not need any additional doctoring up.  The potatoes were also quite moist which was another pleasant surprise.  Overall the potatoes were tasty and good compliment to my lentil dish.  I liked that they were easy and quick to make, will definitely use these again.

One a side note, while Betty Crocker has 25 available varieties of potato sides, my local supermarket carried very few, about 5.  From the website, http://www.bettycrocker.com/products/potatoes I looked up the varieties to get a plan for dinner.  I was going to try the sweet potato au gratin based on a delicious looking recipe shared on the website.  Unfortunately when I got to my supermarket, there were no sweet potato varieties offered, which is a bummer since sweet potatoes are a healthy option for a side dish or even a complete meal.

With that said, I was very pleased with my Betty Crocker Potato experience and will use them again.

I made sausage with our BC potatoes. It wasn't a new idea but it was a fast one. Dh had a long day at work and had to skip lunch. I was actually grateful to have a speedy meal ready to go. We had the cheddar potatoes with bacon bits. I have tried BC potatoes before and I will say they get softer than the store brand ones but the sauce doesn't thicken up as much as I like.

I'm really looking forward to trying the mashed sweet potato variety the next time I go to the store. Our local store would only let me use one coupon at a time.
