Hi everyone ! We live in Florida, we just moved here from California.  Love, love to cook...I have 5 grown children and 4 grandchildren, so I have always had a full house.  My husband teases me because I dont know how to cook for 2 !! Love dinner parties and gatherings.  I am excited to share some of my recipes with you and hopefully get ideas from you as well .

Hello! I'm kristen I have 2 boys. Live in Cali. Our constant struggle is what is going to be for dinner? I try to plan ahead but usual doesn't work out. And we end up having the same thing. How do you come up with new ideas for dinner?

Hi I'm Kelly, I love to cook but don't do it as much since my kids are older. Soups and stews are my favorite and I prefer beef over chicken, I only have a few chicken recipes I like. Married 24 yrs, 3 kids includes 2 boys 20 & 21 and dd will be 15 next Friday.  Some of my favorite things to make are home made chicken pot pie with a rolled out celery seed crust, hamburger with potatoe, cabbage and tomatoes in slow cooker, anything mexican, lentil soup, beef stew and I love veggie subs with avocado and pepperjack cheese, blk and green olives, green pepper, red onion, lettuce and tomatoe with peppered mayo and splash of italian dressing served with sweet and spicy chili doritos. Great...now I'm hungry. lol.  Making tacos tonight.

The day before I go grocery shopping I get paper out and ask the kids what they want.  Someone always says tacos so we have tacos every week. Then I see what I'm like to eat or what ingredients I already have in pantry or freezer. If I have beef, I will google beef recipes to see if something sparks my interest. If I already have all the beans for chili and tomato sauce and its cooler outside I make chili. I try to make meals that I already have some of the ingredients but 1 or 2 I will have to buy all of them. After I get my meal plan 5-6 meals then I start making a grocery list so I can make sure I get what I need. Rotissere are good for making chicken noodle soup in a pinch, takes about 30 minutes. Let the kids have the legs and wings and skin, pull the rest of the meat off and put on plate. Cut up carrots, celery, onions and potatoes. Saute all but potatoes in oil and then season with thyme 1/2 tsp, 1/4 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp garlic pwder, black pepper and salt., then add 5-6 cups chicken broth or a couple of cans (4) ? add potatoes and cook till veggies tender (15-20) add egg noodles and chicken, done in 5-8.
