Low/No Salt Diet

Good evening lovely ladies :)

My husband went to the Dr. last week and the Dr. said he had high blood pressure and also needed him to get chest/lung xrays (seperate issue) :(

Anyways, the Dr. told him he needed to be on a low/no salt diet.... Now, I menu plan 2 weeks at a time so my meals will need to be tweaked (all my meals are generally healthy and I don't add additional salt anyways). I would love some meal ideas for healthy low/salt (and yummy tasting) meals.

I've never had to cook around any type of specific diet but each of these links has several different recipes for a low sodium/no salt diet. Hope you find something helpful!

I use McCormick all purpose seasoning - salt free (Walmart) or
Mrs. Dash Extra Spicy Seasoning (Walmart) for seasoning a lot of foods., Onion or Garlic Powder, Cayenne, Red or Black Pepper.

Campbell's makes a low sodium version of cream of mushroom soup...that's used in a lot of recipes.  I use tomato paste or puree for spaghetti sauce.

The Betty Cocker site has a low sodium section!
