Orange Marmalade-BBQ Ribs from the pic in my like or dislike post today!
- ribs (quartered)
- water for boiling
- 3 cups bbq sauce
- 2 squirts of honey
- 2 huge spoonfuls of orange marmalade
- a pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
suggest you cut them in quarters so the ribs will fit in a boiling pot
Put the ribs in a pot, add water, enough to cover the ribs. Put the lid on and boil for 2 hours.
While that’s boiling, add bbq sauce, orange marmalade, honey, and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Whisk them all together. Cover with a saran wrap and store in the fridge until the ribs are ready.
Once the ribs are boiled, drain the water. Preheat the oven to 365°.
Place ribs in a roasting pan. Generously brush each sides of the ribs with the orange marmalade and bbq sauce mixture. Transfer the ribs in a foil-covered sheet pan. I didn’t do this step so I had to soak the roasting pan for days to get the baked bbq sauce out. I’ve learned my lesson. Using a foil-covered pan makes cleaning up easy peasy. I should’ve known, oh well.
Bake the ribs for 35 to 40 minutes. Or grill ‘em up outside. It depends on how the weather is.
