Does anyone else use Campbells cream of chicken? Dh bought a dozen cans and each one seemed bad. It had a smokey or tin smell to it. All but one and it had a different expiration date. Anyone notice?

So, I called Campbells this morning. They said there was no recall, but the lot had some kind of "blending issues". Lol, I'm not going crazy like I thought! They are sending some kind of refund for the dozen we bought :)

I'm sorry I don't use it very often and that seems odd. I would suggest calling the 800 number and asking them.

They usually have good products...but I did get hold of one can of their low sodium cream of mushroom that was all brothy...no cream...I had dumped it on my chicken but I drained it off and threw it out.

I agree with the previous posters, you should call campbell's.  I always use off-brand, so I'm no help.

I use cream of chicken soup to make a yummy chicken pot pie.  I take left over chicken, chicken gravy, bag of frozen mixed veggies and a can of chicken soup and combine in a bowl.  I line a pie plate with a store bought pie crust, pour the ingredients in and top with second pie crust.  Cut vent holes in crust and place on cookie sheet and bake according to pie crust package directions.  Homemade pot pie everyone raves about!!

I've never experienced the soup to smell smokey or tinny. I haven't made my pot pie in a while.  Sounds like you've got a bad batch.  Call Campbells.
