looking for 1940's chocolate chip cookie recipe

They were on the cover in a Readers Digest cooking magazine. It used corn syrup in them. Did anyone buy this magaizine or have a recipe like this one? They looked yummy.

My guess is thare would be a ton of recipes from the 1940's that used corn syrup. Not because it was better,but because sugar was rationed!  I would stick with the tried and tru sugar-they weren't using corn syrup because it tastes better-they were using it because sugar was scarce!
