 Hey ladies!!

I've never made had asparagus before. I'm making it with dinner tonight for my step father and I want to try it as well.

I want to include garlic if possible - or if I bake it I'd likie to use parmesan cheese? And whatever else you suggest?

Thanks!

I know your dinner for your step father was last night, but in case there's a next time.....I put the asparagus spears in a skillet with just a little water (not even enough to cover the asparagus), sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, a little lemon-pepper seasoning and a dollop of butter (or a little olive oil).  Cover the skillet and let simmer for just about 10 minutes (give or take depending on whether you want your asparagus soft or crisp-tender).

That sounds super easy and pretty healthy. Probably what I'll do for him next time too. Thanks!

I like to throw it on the grill with olive oil, salt, lemon pepper, and garlic powder sprinkled on it.  You can also roast it in the oven the same way.  Asparagus is pretty versatile and seems to go with a lot of flavors.
