We went apple picking this weekend and we all had fun.  Does anyone have any apple recipes? I might make a pie. :)

I don't have the recipe here anywhere. But go to foodnetwork.com & search butterscotch apple crisp. I don't remember exactly who's recipe it is.. I just search it every time I want to make it. It's AMAZING!!!! Especially warm with vanilla icecream.

1 mom liked this
6-8 apples
Half a bag of cranberries
Cinnimon
Nutmeg and cloves
Flour
Sugar
Salt, just a dash
Chop apples, mix a dusting of flour, a 1/4 teaspoon of each spice (it may need more of Cinnimon) with the apples and cranberries, add sugar to taste(my family likes it a little tart).

Topping
1 cup oats
Cinnimon
1 cup flour
Butter or oil 1/2 stick or 1/4 cup oil
Chopped nuts(i like almonds and walnuts)
Sugar to taste
Mix topping ingredients together to form small pebble sized lumps. Sprinkle on top of apple mix and bake until bubbly.

Serve with a good vanilla ice cream!

I ended up making apple cobbler as a start yesterday. it was soo yummy but I called it apple slop because it was a mushy mess but it tasted awesome LOL I am going to make more apple dishes too, probably a apple crisp or pie

QUICK APPLE COBBLER
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/2 stick of butter
3 peeled & sliced apples (or can of apple pie filling)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray with Pam an 8 x 8 inch or 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish. Add butter and place in oven to melt the butter. When melted, remove from oven and tilt the dish so the butter coats the entire bottom. In a bowl mix well sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt. Pour into baking dish. Top with apples or apple pie filling and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake 40 minutes.
