Sweet Chocolate Brownies With Creamy Nutella & a Pretzel Crust
They're
salty; they're sweet. They're creamy; they're dreamy. They're so many
shades of awesome it's hard to even comprehend. So don't try -- just
make them and see for yourself. We're talking Nutella Pretzel Brownies. Oh yeah.
From Rachel Schultz, these are amazing. How could they not be with ingredients like this? They're easy to make too, and stand out much more than your typical brownies. You start with a salty pretzel crust, which is covered with rich chocolaty brownies. Each one is topped off with a dollop of Nutella and a crunchy pretzel for a perfect mix of flavors.
Nutella Pretzel Brownies
8 ounces pretzels
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup cocoa
2/3 cup flour
1/3 cup Nutella
Extra Nutella and pretzels for garnishing
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place pretzels in food processor and break into small pieces.
Mix in brown sugar and melted butter. Empty mixture into 9×9 baking dish. Firmly press crust to bottom in an even layer.
Bake crust by itself for 12 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare brownies by combining softened butter, sugar, vanilla, salt, and eggs in a large mixing bowl.
Slowly add cocoa, flour, and Nutella to batter. Pour over baked crust and bake for 25 minutes.
Allow brownies to cool and garnish with dollops of Nutella and pretzels.
Mmm.. sweet, salty, nutty. Who wouldn't love that?? Thanks for sharing!
