I drive a small car & hubby drives a small truck. We think unless you have a bunch of kids, there is no need for a van or SUV. Gas is expensive people, parking spaces are getting tighter, & some people can't drive big vehicles or park them worth a (beep!). We don't travel a lot or go on vacations. I can get my groceries or shopping bags, junk, & my rather large Baby Trend expedition jogging stroller all in my trunk. I've got two kids & my daughter's stuff she always brings with her & school bag all fit fine. The truck gets the hubby to & from work & to the garbage dump. Otherwise, he is packed in the car with us. Cars are cute. Big vehicles make you look like you are compensating for who knows what. I like the new station
