Mom to Mom Mom to Mom

My neighbor is having a baby shower. Don't you only get one? Her daughter is 2

I thought moms only got one baby shower until there was years and years between children. Has this changed?

Quoting BraythansMom:

I plan on having a "shower" for all of my babies... but it is more a get together type thing.

After our daughter was born, we invited the people we love over for brunch, to meet our new family member

Sometimes I think it's just a way to mooch gifts off everyone.

I think a big shower for the first and then "sprinkles" for the second, giving them just a few items and focusing more on the party than on the gifts from there on, is good. I just think every baby is worth a party, but not necessarily a ton of gifts to go with that, especially if the parents have everything they need.

--Thats it.. I think so much more about the party and getting together with my friends than I do about getting gifts.  I love the conversation about my baby and decorating and getting cake and just celebrating the newest edition.

I had 2 showers. My first one was for a girl and the shower was may 2008 and my second was for a girl in September 2010 so they were 28 months apart.

Honestly, I think every baby deserves to be celebrate, with or without gifts.

I agree totally.
