Moms of boys, do you encourage them not cry as it's not "manly"?
I often hear father's tell their sons not to cry as they're being babies or sissies.
I don't mind if my DS cries. I think it's good to release his emotions.

No. we're all human. Crying is normal. Whining, now that's different. But I don't like when anyone whines. Not just boys. Lol

i think its human nature to cry. My 4yr old cries if he gets hurt or his feelings are hurt. The only time i dislike the crying is when he is throwing a tantrum and its to get what he wants. That being said i know a little boy who is about to turn 7 and cries over everything because he knows he can gett his way so i discorage it in that situation

I don't tell any of my kids not to cry. I would like to tell my nine year old to button it up sometimes, she cries.waaaaaaaaay to often, but I don't. I just tell her to go to her room to compose herself.
