Moms of boys, do you encourage them not cry as it's not "manly"?

I often hear father's tell their sons not to cry as they're being babies or sissies.

I don't mind if my DS cries. I think it's good to release his emotions.

If my son cries i let him. Sometimes you need to cry. It is a way of getting rid of emotions that are not healthy. By the way myexhusband was allways sensitive and would cry as a boy if he needed to.

I encourage all of my children to share their emotions. My husband does as well.

I don't have a boy, but I wouldn't encourage them not to cry.
